1 1/8" tall and 5/8" diameter, this little sewing thread waxer is a rarer form in Tartanware - McDonald clan .A Victorian souvenir piece of the third quarter of the 19th century in very good condition.

Hexagon shaped shell work needle case was a treasured souvenir from the seaside town of Ramsgate. Each of the five sides is 1 3/8" . The condition is very good. There is a tiny bit of damage on a couple of the smallest border shells.It has its original ribbon,lining and label which reads,"PERRY'S BAZAAR & SHELL FLOWER MANUFACTORY,RAMSGATE". Late 19th century.

These pig's trotters (1 5/8" long) are a pair of carved ivory knitting needle shields. They are linked by a piece of fancy old elastic decorated with silk rosettes. Tiny bit of wear chipping. Early 20th century.

Interesting little collection of three turn of the century thread winders. The largest(1 7/8" square) wooden one, carved to resemble a flower, is two dimensional.The second one, a square(1 3/16") reel shape is a example of inlay called "stick work". The third is a rectangular(1 1/8" long) reel shape, made of bone, delicately decorated with a group of roses on one side and a single rose on the other. All in excellent condition.

This charming celluloid, English thatch roofed cottage is a figural tape measure. The chimney pulls up to show the tape. An amazing amount of detail is on this little piece.Maximum height 1 1/2" , maximum width 1 7/8" . Condition is very good. Tape mechanism is fine. Some wear on tape at base of chimney - well attached, though. Ca.1930's.

Remember the sugar bowl in luncheonettes or soda fountains? This is the one. My guess is that the beautiful brass lid was originally nickel plated - the brass does look great. The body is nice heavy pressed glass. As one photo shows there is an old chip on the bottom of the foot - it must be old as it is quite smooth. It is 4 1/4" tall and 6 1/2" in diameter.I remember them as late as the fifties but I think this is pre-war (II).

2" beak to tail and about 1 1/4" at its tallest point, it nevertheless is most striking. Beautifully painted in much detail, this little bird is also very nicely molded. Ca. 1900

Only 1 1/2" tall this charming little figure is typical of the anthropomorphic antics of these little cold painted Vienna bronzes. This little monkey is serving cocoa (shape of cup indicates cocoa) quite politely. The piece is in nice condition(see photo) and is ca.1900.

Lorenzy-Palanca was a company that was located in Marseilles,France and sold perfumes at the turn of the century and went bankrupt in 1930. The Peugeot 201 van was produced from 1929 to 1937. This then dates this charming promotional tin car to about 1930. While it has been described by some as a candy container-the top of the van lifts, it could also have held a perfume bottle - the ultimate packaging! The condition of the lithography and the tin is beautiful. It is 6 1/4" long and 3" high.

This painted bisque fellow is well turned out, and is in excellent condition . Impressed "Germany" on his back, he is 3 1/4" tall. Ca. 1930's
