$525.00

An authentically old candle pyramid is very hard to come by- the heat of the candles cause the blades to rotate , in turn, this rotates the centers of the two tiers - the parts holding the Erzgebirge figures. This 16" tall example, most likely German made in the Erzgebirge area, dates from about the turn of the century and comes out of Pennsylvania. Its base is about 6 3/4" square. The blades are painted tin. The central turning column is beautifully turned in a spiraling pattern. The highest tier has 2 Erzgebirge animals - horse and deer (missing one tiny antler). The lower tier has 2 angels with upright wings(one angel is missing one arm),a soldier and a sponge tree. Each tier has 4 classical columns defining the space. All this topped by a lovely dome, a golden ball, the blades and a golden finial. There is some paint loss but really not bad at all. You should be able to get good detail from the photos.
