A leather and suede case, with a sterling closure, measuring 3 1/4" by 1 5/8" contains a set of 3 sterling silver bodkins in 3 sizes. The part that is particularly interesting is that they each have an
ingenious little mechanism that holds the ribbon in place as it is threaded through the garment. They are patent dated
"11-29-92". Condition is excellent.on the inside of the case is this additional marking "The Bramhall Novelty Co. Portland, Maine"

Deep red velvet sewing etui is in the form of a little purse- nicely plated brass closing and a beautifully shaped little handle. Closed, it measures 4"x3"x1". Open, it stretches to 11 1/2". The far left section is a deeply beveled glass mirror, the center section has holders for six tools and silken thread. The tools are bone and nickel plated brass. From the left they are: needle case,punch,bodkin,glove hook,pencil,silk thread.Each roughly 3" long. The third section is beautifully embroidered in satin stitch and contains a pressed glass, nickel plated brass topped scent(or smelling salts) bottle in a lovely design.Early 20th century , all in very good condition.
