| Hard to believe that commercial spools of thread were this elaborate in the 19th century. The spool is 1 3/8" tall and 1" in diameter. The ivory top has a beautifully detailed petal edging and retains its original label.The bottom is also made of ivory but plainer. The body is turned wood with a paper wrapper which says, "Taylor's Persian Thread.This Reel holds 200 Yards of No.12." Very good condition. | |||||
