Tuck paper rocker is a charming piece of toy ephemera.
In the early 20th century Raphael Tuck & Sons,Ltd. was the premier maker of beautifully chromolithographed paper toys in England. This embossed "rocker" is an example. Jolly Jack Tar is rowing the toys - a penny wooden doll, a Teddy bear, and two china head dolls. On the back is a poem entitled THE BONNIE BOATLOAD. The easel back has been reattached with archival tape. The color is glorious and there is no loss of details. About 8 3/4" wide and 6 3/4" tall.
