| This Mauchline ware bucket is a thread holder souvenir from Niagara Falls - specifically Whirlpool Rapids, and shows the Whirlpool Rapids Bridge which then dates the box to the last part of the 19th century.American scenes on Mauchline ware boxes are hard to find. The box held 3 spools of thread - the spool sticks are missing. The three ivory grommets are there - one has a tiny chip. The blackish green covering the bottom of the bucket is mostly worn away. However, it is in overall lovely condition. 3 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" tall are the maximum measurements. | |||||
